Proper Title, LLC, a full-service title insurance agency serving the residential and commercial real estate industries, announced today the expansion of its escrow services team with the addition of Jake Halter. Based in the firm’s downtown Chicago office, Halter will serve as a commercial escrow officer nationally and a residential escrow officer in the Chicago area. Halter also will be Proper Title’s Northwest Indiana escrow manager.

A veteran national commercial escrow officer, Halter spent nearly 10 years at St. Louis-based True Title Company, most recently as vice president, commercial division manager. Halter has a bachelor’s degree in general business administration and management from Southern Illinois University.
