Sales Start at Church Street Village Townhomes in Evanston

February 12, 2015

Sales are now underway at Church Street Village, a new-construction community of 32 townhomes in Evanston, announced Steven Maher, managing broker of Kinzie Brokerage, part of the Kinzie Group of Companies, which is overseeing the sales and marketing for the townhomes, as well as the build-out of the community. Five townhomes are available for early or immediate move-in.

Located near the intersection of Church Street and Ashland Avenue, Church Street Village offers three-story brick townhomes with two or three bedrooms, 2 to 2½ baths, and an attached one- or two-car garage. The townhomes also offer a first-floor den or office space and private outdoor space, per plan. Prices for the townhomes range from $329,000 to $383,000.

All homes, which feature an open-concept living area, include a high level of interior finishes including granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring throughout the main level, and 9-foot ceilings.

“Church Street Village represents a rare opportunity to buy a new-construction townhome in Evanston, as there simply aren’t any currently on the market,” said Maher. “That is part of why the demand has already been so high for these homes.”

He continued, “Whether you’re a downsizer wanting to continue to live near friends and family on the North Shore without the burden of a single-family home, or you are a family who wants to take advantage of the cultural opportunities, beautiful parks and fantastic schools Evanston is known for, Church Street Village is a great option.”

Residents of Church Street Village are served by Willard Elementary School and Haven Middle School, which are rated as “10” and “9” respectively on greatschools.org, and Evanston Township High School. Additionally, the community is only six blocks from the shops, restaurants and entertainment options of downtown Evanston, as well as the Maple/Davis transportation center with CTA and Metra service to and from Chicago.

Church Street Village was more than 60 percent sold during its initial phase, and the community itself is nearly complete, which, according to Maher, is another draw for buyers.

“There is an existing neighborhood here, people who have lived at Church Street Village for several years and absolutely love it,” said Maher. “In fact, it’s been a selling tool for us – putting potential buyers in touch with current residents to hear how much they enjoy the area and the sense of community among neighbors.”
