When Nancy Swabb, Taylor Johnson’s event manager, and her family offered to be a host family earlier this year for a 10-month-old girl from Africa needing a complex surgery, they had no idea baby Dominique’s story would become international news. This week, Dominique, who was born with four legs and two spines, and her successful surgery at Advocate Children’s Hospital to remove her parasitic twin were featured in countless media outlets, including CNN, Chicago Tribune, BBC, People, and WGN. We could not be more thankful for the Swabb family and the dozens of volunteers and doctors who worked together to save Dominique’s life. Of course, none of this would have happened if it weren’t for Children’s Medical Missions West (CMM), which secures medical care for children from all over the world. To help support CMM, please join Taylor Johnson in donating to the You Caring page created by the Swabb family.
