Next year, a number of Midwest companies will leave their suburban office campuses for trendier digs downtown, hoping to attract and retain the younger talent that already lives there. Joining this group is Select Comfort, maker of Sleep Number beds, which will move its corporate offices from suburban Plymouth, Minn., to downtown Minneapolis next fall. Taylor Johnson client Transwestern represented building owner DCI Technology Holdings in the 211,000-square-foot headquarters lease — Minneapolis’ largest downtown office lease of 2016. GlobeSt.com was among numerous outlets that covered the transaction, part of a broader office, retail and residential boom in the southeast corner of downtown.

Select Comfort has executed a 211,000-square-foot headquarters lease at 1001 Third Ave. S. in downtown Minneapolis. Transwestern represented owner DCI Technology Holdings.
