Strong job growth and household formation in the Denver metro has fueled demand for multifamily housing, and Taylor Johnson client Waterton is among the investors doing deals while the market is hot. The firm recently acquired Greenwood Plaza, a 266-unit apartment community in Centennial, Colo. Built in 1996, the property is about 15 miles from downtown Denver and close to the Denver Tech Center, where demand for apartments is especially high, according to a report from TJ client Marcus & Millichap. Waterton plans to update units as part of a phased capital improvement program. MileHighCRE and REBusinessOnline were among the outlets that covered the acquisition, the firm’s second of 2017.

Waterton has acquired Greenwood Plaza, a 266-unit rental community in suburban Denver. The firm now owns and manages three rental properties in the Denver area comprising nearly 1,000 units.
