The rise of online shopping, which now accounts for 9 percent of all retail sales in the U.S., has benefited consumers, but it’s also created a unique set of challenges for apartment buildings that have seen package deliveries soar in recent years. With everything from large furniture to groceries coming through their front door, apartment owners and operators like Taylor Johnson clients Fifield Companies, Waterton Residential and RMK Management are setting aside more storage space and implementing notification systems to make package delivery as efficient as possible, especially during the busy holiday season.
