Crain’s Notable Black Leaders And Executives

December 20, 2021

Over the past 18 months, many U.S. firms and organizations pledged to expand diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and address systemic racism. So, it’s no surprise that the Crain’s 2021 Notable Black Leaders and Executives list includes three clients of Taylor Johnson who not only are leaders in their fields, but also instrumental in their organizations’ DEI efforts. Ciere Boatright, vice president of real estate and community development for CRG, is helping to launch a program to support commercial developers of color and a national philanthropic program, CRG Cares. Jennifer Nichols, senior vice president and general counsel for CRG, is helping to lead the firm’s DEI initiatives, including expanding minority- and women-owned business participation in development projects and in CRG’s new USLF II investment fund. And Collete English Dixon, executive director of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University (MBIRE) and the first woman of color to lead a university-based real estate education program in the U.S., has partnered with minority-owned real estate development firm DL3 Realty to establish scholarships for students from disadvantaged communities pursuing studies at MBIRE. Congratulations to all three of these women – it was an honor to work on their nominations. Read their stories in today’s TJ TALK.
