When Optima Lakeview welcomes first move-ins next spring, the new 198-unit rental building with street-level retail will restore vibrancy to the site of a closed Treasure Island grocery store in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. As the first Chicago-area development by Taylor Johnson client Optima, Inc. to open since Optima Signature in 2017, Optima Lakeview has generated plenty of buzz, including this recent Urbanize Chicago story. The reporter stopped by to take photos of the construction site for a story about the progress of the project, which will have a unique interior atrium running through the core of the seven-story building.
